Zee Ntuli joins The Progress Film Company for commercial representation in the UK

British-born South African director Zee Ntuli has joined Progress Films for commercial representation in the UK.

Having already secured a US Netflix deal for one of his three feature films, called Hard to Get, Zee’s passion for filmmaking is rooted in cinematic style storytelling. Combining this with an eye for great aesthetics, Zee’s directorial approach is a striking and effective balance between capturing humanity and capturing beauty. This proves his addition to the Progress roster to be more than fitting.

His first spot with Progress is the Cadbury ad titled “Mrs Mabena,” produced by VCCP London, which is an exemplary piece of work in showcasing his signature style. As well as this, Zee has very recently directed “Solidarity”, a film for Citizens in Solidarity against Coronavirus. His previous work includes spots with Unilever, Ackermans, BP and Standard Bank.

Zee says: “I’m incredibly excited to embark on this journey with Progress. It’s an honour to be surrounded by such diverse and dynamic talent. Whilst working with Progress on Cadbury, it immediately became clear that we have a natural synergy. I couldn’t ask for a better fit.”

Andrew Porteous, MD at Progress adds: “Zee’s films are just beautiful. He’s a true talent with incredible vision and an impeccable storytelling power. It was fantastic working with Zee on Cadbury and I look forward to collaborating on many more projects together.”
